The Opportunity
We have an opportunity for a detail orientated individual to assist with procurement and delivery of water and sewer capital projects for Council’s assets at all points of the project cycle from detailed planning to delivery and commissioning, including representing BVSC in the management of consultants and contractors.
As a Project Manager, you will prepare briefs and tender documentation calling for preliminary design, concept design, detailed design, or construction services and maintain relevant records and registers. You will check design plans and reports prepared for projects and seek further input from internal and external stakeholders on an as-needed basis.

About You
We are seeking an individual who holds a bachelor's degree in an engineering or project / construction management discipline appropriate to the position, or relevant industry experience and has experience delivering water and sewer works across the project cycle (eg. tasks required for a safe and compliant concept design in NSW).
You will have the following skills and experience;
- Sound understanding of contract management principals including risk management, WHS and EEO.
- Ability to manage relationships with contractors and professional consultants in order to achieve results.
- Well-developed skills in the interpretation of detailed engineering plans, specifications and quality systems.
- Demonstrated ability in the use of Microsoft Office software, MS Project, project planning software and spatial information software.
Benefits
This is a fixed term full time position working 35 hours per week for a period of two (2) years.
The total remuneration package for this position commences at $121,129.32 gross per annum, comprising of:
- $2,016.80 per week base salary
- $242.02 per week superannuation (calculated at 12%)
- $70.59 per week civil liability allowance (calculated at 3.5%)
